In Diablo 4, Sorcerer is loved by many players. Although the class was not particularly strong in Season 14, Sorcerer received significant buffs in Season 15.
If you are looking for a fun, fast, easy-to-use, and fairly powerful Sorcerer build, IGGM.com recommends trying Ball Lightning Sorcerer. It is extremely comfortable to play.

Ball Lightning Sorcerer Changes in Season 15
In Diablo 4 Season 15, adjustments to Paragon Boards, improvements to the class itself, increased primary stat scaling, and the seasonal Soul Splinters all contribute to a major overall boost for Sorcerer. All these factors combined give the class a significant improvement across the board.
The changes to stat scaling provide every Sorcerer build with roughly 20% to 25% additional damage, as Intelligence now provides greater benefits.
There are also several smaller changes, but the most important one is that Orbital Variant of Ball Lightning can now be cast while moving.
This mechanic was removed in Vessel of Hatred expansion, but it has now returned. Simply hold down Ball Lightning key and run forward, and your character will continue casting while moving. The gameplay feels extremely smooth, making this one of the most comfortable Sorcerer builds to play.
Other notable changes include adjustments to Enchantment Master Legendary Node. You no longer need to equip two different elements to activate its effect. Enchantment Master is now useful for almost every Sorcerer build.
Soul Splinters

Diablo 4 Season 15 Soul Splinters can be socketed into jewelry slots, and their effects are extremely powerful. Ball Lightning Sorcerer is a build that requires stacking Critical Strike Chance, so you can equip Splinter of Anguish.
It provides +35% Critical Strike Chance and Attack Speed, but slightly increases resource costs. If you combine it with Leoric’s Crown and increase its effect by up to 130%, this can result in roughly 80% Critical Strike Chance and 90% Damage Reduction.
If your character lacks sufficient survivability, you can equip Splinter of Pain, which provides 40% Damage Reduction but reduces your Movement Speed. When combined with Leoric’s Crown, you can reach roughly 90% Damage Reduction, making it extremely difficult to die.

Focus: Strike of Stormhorn
Ball Lightning Sorcerer uses a large number of D4 Unique items, but it does not rely on Mythic-quality gear to perform well.
The most important pieces of gear above are Esu’s Heirloom and Raiment of the Infinite. Esu’s Heirloom provides a large Movement Speed bonus based on your Critical Strike Chance, while Raiment of the Infinite provides Damage Reduction.
In addition, you should obtain Strike of Stormhorn as soon as possible. This is a core item for Ball Lightning Sorcerer because it directly increases Ball Lightning’s damage and can also trigger an explosion that deals 40% of the total damage. Whether you are fighting multiple targets or a single boss, this allows you to deal substantial damage.
The remaining gear is relatively optional and mainly provides additional damage. This even includes Orsivane because it provides all additional defensive Enchantment effects, such as Teleport Enchantment, as well as Ice Armor and Flame Shield.
Before obtaining Orsivane, you can adjust your skill bar or Enchantment setup as needed, such as placing Ice Armor or Teleport on the skill bar. Once you obtain this weapon, however, you should remove them from the skill bar to maximize its damage bonus, because the highest damage multiplier is achieved when none of the defensive skills are placed on the skill bar.
Tibault’s Will provides valuable resource regeneration. You only need to enter Unstoppable state once every 5 seconds to have almost unlimited resources, and you can use Teleport and Runes to trigger this effect.
When you first enter endgame, you may not be able to collect all this gear, so you’ll need some time to farm. You can also buy Diablo 4 items to directly acquire this gear.
Which Stats Should You Stack?
Ball Lightning Sorcerer is a Critical Strike-focused build, so your goal is to reach 100% Critical Strike Chance. Esu’s Heirloom and Splinter of Anguish can both help you reach this goal.
After that, you should naturally prioritize Critical Strike Damage and Vulnerable Damage. You can apply Vulnerable through Aspect of Shredding Blades.
For the remaining stats, you only need moderate amounts of Intelligence, Life, Armor, and Resistances. Make sure your defensive gear has enough survivability stats, while your weapon and off-hand should also ideally have Life affixes, as these provide excellent defensive value.
In addition, Ball Lightning skill ranks can be obtained on your boots, while the off-hand can provide ranks to Shock Skills. You can also obtain ranks to All Skills. On the amulet, prioritize ranks to Shock Skills, although All Skills ranks are also a solid alternative if Shock Skills ranks are unavailable.

Because you need to unlock all the Enchantment effects, almost every skill is selected, including Frozen Orb. You need to use Frozen Orb Enchantment to gain Barrier effect, which randomly fires Frozen Orbs when you attack, freezing enemies and providing Barrier protection. Ball Lightning Enchantment also provides additional free damage.
Ball Lightning is your primary damage-dealing skill. Teleport, combined with Raiment of the Infinite, allows you to group enemies together after teleporting and then eliminate them quickly.
In actual combat, you only need to occasionally activate these summon skills while moving.
They will automatically fly toward enemies and trigger Aspect of Shredding Blades, applying Vulnerable to them. Unstable Currents should be saved for boss fights rather than used freely.
That covers the main points of Diablo 4 Season 15 Ball Lightning Sorcerer. It may not be the strongest Sorcerer build, but once the gear is fully assembled, it is extremely simple and easy to play. IGGM.com recommends that Sorcerer players give it a try.
